Ever wonder who the hott blonde in the front row crushing every song is? Well I'm about to tell you! Chances are you have been in class with her, but if you haven't taken a class with her, you are really missing out! Jaime is WheelHouse's youngest instructor, but don't let that fool you. This spring chicken has some serious pep in her step. She will keep you motivated, upbeat and dancing right along as she kicks your butt-with a smile on her face! Keep reading to learn more about our Jaime!
1) What is your zodiac sign?
Cancer. So Cancer is a very complicated zodiac sign with lots of different characteristics, but there are a few that are Jaime in a nutshell. Family-oriented is definitely one of them. Jaime is one supportive chick and you will find her riding in all her fellow instructor's classes cheering them on and bringing energy to the class. Additionally, she has gotten her real family hooked on spinning and we've seen some repeat visits from her brothers and mom! (We don't know if that is by choice or not, but we aren't asking any questions!) Cancer's are also creative and hard working- something that Jaime definitely is. She puts the time in, and it really pays off- there is no slacking from this girl!
2) Where is your favorite place to vacation?
Hmm this is hard! Santorini is definitely my favorite place I've traveled to, but my favorite place in the world is my parent's house on Lake Winnipesaukee. Nothing better than putting the electronics aside and vacationing in my own home with friends and family. Awesome! We will see you there Jaime!
3) It's Friday night (after your 4:30 class of course), what are you drinking?
I do love me some tequila! However, I also enjoy a nice, cold spiked seltzer (lime is the best). So I guess it depends on what I have in store for the evening! We said Jaime is the youngest instructor, but don't worry, we checked her ID, she's legal, and apparently ready to party! Tequila and the lake sounds like the perfect day to us!
4) What do you do when you are not teaching, for work and for pleasure?
For work, I am a high school math teacher in Bedford. And for pleasure, does taking class count?? Kidding...kinda. I think anyone who knows me knows I love to stay active, so I am always down to do anything that gets me out and moving. And if you've had the pleasure of taking a class with my crazy group of friends, I'm sure you can tell we keep ourselves entertained. I can definitely vouch for that one...there may or may not have been a lime green speedo involved...but don't worry, there were some shorts underneath it!
5) Are you a "Belieber"?
HAHAH NOPE! I'm more of a JT fan- he's always going to bring sexy back. Jaime...what do you mean?
6) Hills or sprints?
Definitely depends on how my legs are feeling that day, but in the end, I'm going to have to go with sprints. It's a love/hate relationship, but on days when you're on, there's no better feeling than when you're hitting that double time sprint beat out in 3 like a champ. Ain't that the truth. Everyday is different, so don't get discouraged on the days things aren't clicking, but when things are on...go with it!
7) What is your favorite song?
Currently, I can't get enough of "Just Like Fire" by Pink. Something about that songs, and every single other one of Pink's songs, make me just want to get up and dance. Side note: Pink over Beyonce any day, she's the true queen. She said it, not me...don't shoot the messenger :)
8) What is one thing you cannot leave the house without?
Chapstick! I keep one in every bag I own, my desk at work, and my glove compartment. Gotta keep those lips lookin' and feelin' fresh, and when you talk as much as we do, this is a necessity!
9) What would you say to someone who is nervous to try indoor cycling for the first time?
If you think it's going to be easy, it's not, there is a lot going on! But don't think about it, just close your eyes and let the music and instructor guide you. I was an over thinker in the beginning, trying to master the science of riding to the beat, but as soon as I stopped thinking so much about technique and just went with the flow, everything fell into place! Oh, and don't be afraid of the resistance knob!! When in doubt, ride it out...she's right, everything will fall into place, just give it a chance!
10) Guilty pleasure?
Ooohhhh this is tough! I'm going to have to go with watching the Bella's final performance in the first Pitch Perfect. I get the goose bumps and can't stop myself from smiling and fist pumping every time I see him lift his fist in the air! (1:48 into the video). And if you are curious, yes, of course I have the youtube video bookmarked on my computer! If you haven't seen it, check it out...it's GLORIOUS! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAVPYq8fc3k
We will let that speak for itself...which means, that's a wrap on Jaime! You can catch her in the saddle on Mondays and Fridays at 4:30pm, or this Sunday, 5/29 at 7:30am before heading to your weekend plans!
