I'm new to spinning, is it something I can do?

Of Course! spinning/ indoor cycling is a personal journey and the difficulty of the class is at the rider's discretion.  Our classes are

appropriate for all fitness levels which allows both beginners and advanced riders alike to benefit immensley from this workout.

The most important thing to remember is to push when you feel you can, and take a breather when it feels right.

How old do I have to be to ride?

Riders must be at least 14 years old, and riding with a parent/guardian.

When should I arrive for class?

For new riders we recommend arriving 15 minutes early to allow for proper shoe and bike fitting.  The instructor or desk staff will help you set up your bike and make sure you are comfortable and ready to get the most out of your class.   Any empty bikes will be released to walk-in riders at the start of class.  If you are running late, give us a call and we will be sure to hold your bike!  However, for the sake of the instructor and for safety reasons we do not allow a rider to enter the class more than 10 minutes late.

Do I need to sign up ahead of time?

We recommend reserving your bike ahead of time if you plan on attending class.  We do allow walk-ins on a first come, first serve basis, but we advise you plan ahead to avoid getting shut out!  You can start reserving your bikes 7 days in advance.  Please note that you must have active classes on your account to reserve a bike, we cannot take unpaid reservations.  Also, all riders must have their own account and their own classes, riders cannot share packages.

I am on the waitlist- what does that mean?

Waitlisted riders will be notified via e-mail if they have been added to a class.  Riders can be added up to 2 hours prior to the start of a class.  If you do not get our e-mails be sure to check your preferences, or ask us at the desk to make sure you are opted- in.  You can also always access your MindBody account to see your position.  Riders are never penalized for removing themselves from a waitlist, however, if you fail to show up to a class you have been added to, you will be charged a "no-show" fee.

Riders waitlisted for an early morning class- If you do not get in by the time you go to sleep, and you do not plan to wake up for the class, please remove yourself from the waitlist to avoid penalties.  Chances are, if you wake up in the morning, there will be a bike ready for you!

Can I cancel my ride without penalties?

Yes!  Cancel out of a registered class more than 4 hours in advance and you are in the clear!   We ask that you cancel any reservations as soon as you know you cannot attend to allow any waitlist riders as much notice as possible that they can clip in.  If you are registered for a class that you can no longer make, but can attend another one that day, call the studio, we will switch you free of charge (assuming there are available bikes).  Any late cancels within our 4 hour cancellation period, or no shows, will result in the loss of the class for package riders, or a fee for unlimited riders.

Do you have changing rooms?

Yes! we understand how busy life gets, and how squeezing in that workout before or after work can leave you tight on time. Because of that, we have changing rooms and restrooms available for your use, as well as cubbies and coat racks for all riders to store their belongings.  Although a WheelHouse team member will always be supervising your belongings, we suggest leaving all valuables at home.

Do I need to bring anything special?

Show up with clothes you are comfortable working out in- we recommend tight pants or shorts for the ride.  Each rider will be requred to wear bike shoes as a way to optimze the ride.  Our bikes are compatiable with SPD clips, if you have your own, bring them!.  Don't have a pair? No sweat, we have them available at the studio free of charge, but we strongly suggest buying your own pair if you are serious about cycling!

Are you hiring?

If you are interested in a position at WheelHouse, please e-mail info@whcycling.com.  Include what it is you are interested in doing and the best way to contact you.  Please note that our ideal candidates for both desk staff and instructors are relatively flexible with early morning, evening and weekend availability!
